  1. PROCOMP PRODUCT OVERVIEW

  3. PROCOMP products expand the disk storage and network options available in
  4. NetWare, OS/2, DOS and XENIX environments. From intelligent SCSI disk
  5. controller solutions to powerful NetWare utilities and support for erasable
  6. optical drives, PROCOMP delivers intelligent solutions. The following
  7. summarizes the main PROCOMP products and pricing.

  9. INTELLIGENT SCSI CONTROLLER BOARDS
  10. PROCOMP SCSI Controller Family:
  11.  
  12. PROCOMP SCSI controller boards are Novell Certified as DCB compatible and
  13. available for 286/386/486 ISA/EISA and PS/2 MCA systems. They provide disk
  14. subsystem handling solutions for NetWare 2.15, 2.2, NetWare 3.1x, OS/2, DOS and UNIX/XENIX. They work with NetWare 3.1x using the Novell DCB driver or the
  15. certified PROCOMP DRANLM. Boards come with the PROCOMP DRAPAK which includes
  16. DRAVADD and DRANLM.

  18. The PROCOMP M-DCB is a power controller intended primarily for fault tolerant
  19. applications and multi-channel use. The PROCOMP F-DCB provides the same
  20. capabilities, but adds features like larger memory, on-board boot capability
  21. and a floppy controller interface. The S-DCB is the highest performance SCSI controller that is NetWare DCB device driver and NLM compatable, with enhanced features for highest performance and functionalty.  It works with both synchronous and asynchronous drives.

  23. The boards have on-board processors for off-loading the system processor.
  24. Up to four (4) boards can be installed per system, each supporting 8 SCSI
  25. drives. They work with any SCSI hard drive, and support for erasable optical
  26. drives is also available. FCC Class B approved. M-DCB w/DRAPAK(List: $399),
  27. M-DCB/2 Micro Channel version w/DRAPAK (List: $479). F-DCB w/ boot, floppy controller & DRAPAK (List: $499), Micro Channel version (List: $579).  Our newest addition to the PROCOMP line the S-DCB w/boot, floppy controller, & DRAPAK (List: $699).

  30. PROCOMP DRAPAK with High Performance Hard Disk and Erasable Optical
  31. Support for NetWare 2.15 NetWare 2.2 and NetWare 3.1x

  33. The PROCOMP DRAPAK includes the PROCOMP DRAVADD and DRANLM drivers for the
  34. PROCOMP boards. These NetWare drivers provide significant performance increase
  35. for hard disk attached to a file server over the Novell DCB drivers. Both
  36. drivers are provided, and both include full erasable optical support.
  37. The specialized MOINIT program is also included for setting both hard and
  38. optical disk types and initializing optical cartridges. Includes support for
  39. ISO Standard Erasable Optical drives under NetWare 2.15c, 2.2 and NetWare 3.1x
  40. with full capabilities of PROCOMP controller boards, plus the support of
  41. removeable media. Full optical kits are available separately. Provided with
  42. PROCOMP boards. DRAPAK (List: $99).

  46. UNIVBOOT is the newest generation DCBBOOT lets you boot your file server
  47. directly from the disk subsystem attached to your M-DCB, M-DCB/2 or F-DCB.
  48. Supports NetWare 2.15, 2.2, 3.1x, DOS, OS/2 and UNIX booting (driver required).
  49. You don't even have to have a floppy drive or an internal drive installed.
  50. UNIVBOOT comes installed on the F-DCB.
  51. UNIVBOOT is optional for M-DCB and M-DCB/2, and installs in any EPROM socket on a network adapter board or floppy controller.

  56. DCBSET 5  (Use Any SCSI Hard Disk and Make it NetWare Ready Compatible):

  58. NetWare limitations on which SCSI hard disks you can use are removed with
  59. DCBSET 5. It lets you change disk parameters, enter bad blocks and make any
  60. SCSI drive from any manufacturer NetWare Ready compatible. Works the same for
  61. NetWare 2.15 and NetWare 3.1x. Eliminates the need for DISKSET and COMPSURF.

  64. SERV+  (Access NetWare Server Drives from DOS):

  66. With the PROCOMP SERV+ NetWare users can access all NetWare formatted disks as
  67. though they were DOS disks and copy off files. And if you lose your NET$OS.EXE
  68. system program, or NetWare reports errors in the FAT table, or you have
  69. hardware configuration errors, SERV+ lets you access the NetWare disks and in
  70. most cases retrieve your data.  With it you can handle all of your NetWare
  71. drives and copy files to DOS drives, streamers or removeable hard disks.

  74. DCBOS 1.2  (Massive Disk Support for OS/2 & DOS):

  76. The DCBOS software system works with OS/2 and LAN MANAGER to allow the use of
  77. SCSI disk subsystems using the M-DCB, M-DCB/2 & F-DCB. Any SCSI drives can
  78. be used. DCBOS supports the maximum possible disk drives, up to 24 subsystems,
  79. using four PROCOMP boards. Fully menu driven, it supports the installation,
  80. partitioning and operation of the disk subsystems. DCBOS also supports DOS and
  81. lets you use large SCSI drives with DOS 3.3 and DOS 4.x versions. DCBOS also
  82. directly supports erasable magneto-optical disk drives. DCBOS requires the
  83. M-DCB, M-DCB/2, F-DCB, F-DCB/2, or S-DCB.  DCBOS (List: $99), DCBOS w/M-DCB (List:$399),DCBOS w/M-DCB/2 (List: $479), DCBOS w/F-DCB (List:$499), DCBOS w/ S-DCB (List: $699).
